As a kid growing up on a farm I helped my parents with many projects. I paid attention because I was usually the person that was asked to “hold this” or “go get the 3/4 inch closed end wrench”. From those experiences I gained a curiosity about tools, machinery and woodworking. This has led me to pursue sculpting. I have sculpted in wood, found objects, wax, bronze and, most recently, bent and welded metal. As an artist I’m intrigued with the process of creating an artwork as well as the materiality of a piece.
